Each Sunday, Catholic Forum brings you a brief reflection, the proclamation of the Sunday Gospel by a Deacon or Priest of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, a musical selection, and an interview of about 15 minutes in length. Catholic Forum is the longest-running Catholic talk show on radio, having begun in 1939 on WDEL in Wilmington, Delaware. A new program debuts at 6:30 a.m. ET each Sunday Morning. Additionally, “FLASHBACK” is a Catholic Forum interview that aired sometime over the last 20 years. It is exclusive content for podcast listeners and debuts each Wednesday morning. Catholic Forum is a production of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington.

On this episode of Catholic Forum, after a brief introduction and the Gospel for Sunday, October 23, 2016, hear highlights from an address to Catholic educators by the Most Reverend John O. Barres, Bishop of Allentown. Bishop Barres, who was ordained a Priest for the Diocese of Wilmington in 1989, was named Fourth Bishop of the Diocese of Allentown in 2009 by Pope Benedict XVI. He was back in the Diocese of Wilmington in August 2016 to give a keynote address to teachers and administrators of the Catholic schools of Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore.
