Each Saturday, Catholic Forum brings you a news update from The Dialog, the official news source for the Diocese of Wilmington, and an interview segment of about 21 minutes in length. Catholic Forum is the longest-running Catholic talk show on radio, having begun in 1939 on a radio station in Wilmington, Delaware. It is now heard every Saturday afternoon at 1:30 on Relevant Radio 640 and is heard in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area as well as throughout the State of Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore. As soon as it finishes airing on the radio, a new program podcast debuts at 2:00 p.m. ET each Saturday afternoon. Catholic Forum is a production of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington

On this episode of Catholic Forum, after a news update from The Dialog, we present the second part of our two-part salute to Father Roberto Balducelli who passed away 10 years ago, on August 10, 2013, at the age of 100. We talk to two women who were close collaborators with Father Roberto, Dr. Maria Finamore and Sister Margaret Cunniffe. They assisted Father with some of his most noteworthy miniseries, Padua Academy, the Via Crucis Lenten prayer, Saint Anthony in the Hills camp for children and families, the Italian Festival, and more. Policastro, MD, a retired pediatrician, Air Force Officer, and current Faithful Navigator of the Fr. Vincent R. Capodanno Assembly #2413 of the Knights of Columbus in Sussex County, Delaware. You will learn about the life and heroic death of Medal of Honor recipient, Maryknoll Father and Navy Chaplain, Vincent Capodanno and his cause for Sainthood. The annual observance of Religious Freedom Week takes place from June 22 - 29.  It begins with the feast day of Saints Thomas More and John Fisher, includes the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, and ends with the feast of Saints Peter and Paul.  Why is it necessary to remind American Catholics about our rights to religious freedom? What are some threats to our religious liberty? What should we do to assure that these rights are protected? We will find out from Deacon Matt Boyer.

In Grieving: A Spiritual Process for Catholics, Kosin has combined deep wisdom from the Christian tradition with current insights from the social sciences to create a book that can be an effective companion for grievers—Catholic and non-Catholic alike.

Also, we will learn a little about St. Anthony of Padua, whose feast the Chruch celebrates each June 13th.
