Each Saturday, Catholic Forum brings you a brief reflection, the proclamation of the Sunday Gospel by a Deacon or Priest of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, a musical selection, an interview of 15-20 minutes in length, and on most shows, an episode of Modern Day Witness, by Father Rich Jasper. Catholic Forum is the longest-running Catholic talk show on radio, having begun in 1939 on a radio station in Wilmington, Delaware. It is now heard every Saturday morning at 11:00 on Relevant Radio 640 and is heard in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area as well as throughout the State of Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore. As soon as it finishes airing on the radio, a new program podcast debuts at 11:30 a.m. ET each Saturday Morning. Additionally, “FLASHBACK” is a Catholic Forum interview that aired sometime over the last 20 years. It is exclusive content for podcast listeners and debuts each Wednesday morning. Catholic Forum is a production of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington.

Hurley, Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the Diocese of Wilmington, and Pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Wilmington, calls in from Rome where he, Bishop Francis Malooly, and Bishops from U.S. Regions 4 and 5 are having their ad limina visit. 

An “ad limina apostolorum” visit is a papal meeting required for every diocesan bishop in the world to provide an update on the state of one’s diocese.  What is it like to meet with the pope?  We will get a report from “the threshold of the apostles,” from Msgr. Bonnie's son, James, was stillborn. Through the intercession of Venerable Fulton Sheen and for the glory of God, he came back to life after being without a pulse for 61 minutes. In July, the Engstrom family miracle was approved by Pope Francis, paving the way for Sheen's possible canonization. Also, we will learn about Francis Xavier Prefontaine, one of Father Rich Jasper's Modern Day Witnesses.
