Each Saturday, Catholic Forum brings you a news update from The Dialog, the official news source for the Diocese of Wilmington, and an interview segment of about 21 minutes in length. Catholic Forum is the longest-running Catholic talk show on radio, having begun in 1939 on a radio station in Wilmington, Delaware. It is now heard every Saturday afternoon at 1:30 on Relevant Radio 640 and is heard in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area as well as throughout the State of Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore. As soon as it finishes airing on the radio, a new program podcast debuts at 2:00 p.m. ET each Saturday afternoon. Catholic Forum is a production of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington

On this episode of Catholic Forum, we celebrate the canonization of Mother Terese of Calcutta. After a brief introduction, the Holy Gospel for Sunday, August 28, 2016, and a musical selection from Marty Haugen's "All Are Welcome" CD, we will chat with author, speaker, and television host, Susan Conroy about her 30-year friendship with Mother Terese of Calcutta. Mother Terese will be canonized on September 4th by Pope Francis.

On this episode of Catholic Forum, after a brief introduction, the Gospel for Sunday, August 21, 2016, and a musical selection from the CD, "Catholic Treasures;" we will talk with Dr. Lou DeAngelo, Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Wilmington. It's back to school time for students, parents, teachers and staff of the 36 Catholic schools in Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore. Dr. Lou will give us tips to help prepare students to go back to school, plus give us an update on some of the terrific schools in the Diocese of Wilmington.

On this episode of Catholic Forum, after a brief introduction, the proclamation of the Sunday Gospel by Deacon Hal Jopp, and a musical selection from Paul Tate's CD, "Let All Creation Sing," we will learn about the history of the beautiful Cathedral of Saint Peter in Wilmington, Delaware. Margaret Consiglio has been a member of the Cathedral parish since the 1960's. Michael Davidson has been the Director of Liturgical Music for the Cathedral since the 1980's. Together they tell the story of this lovely and historic church that has been a part of the City of Wilmington for 200 years.

On this episode of Catholic Forum, after a brief introduction and the Gospel for the Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time, we pay tribute to Ms. A. Dorothy Arthur, one of the founders of this program. Dorothy was a college student in 1939 she was a part of a group of lay people who decided to create a Catholic radio program on WDEL-AM in Wilmington, Delaware. Dorothy was also key in creating the Catholic Broadcasting Association, which was later named UNDA-USA, and now operates under the name Catholic Academy of Communication Professionals. Dorothy passed away on June 17, 2016 at the age of 95. On this program, we present an interview with Dorothy that first aired on Catholic Forum in April 2014 as the program celebrated its 75th anniversary.
