Barres, Bishop of Allentown. Bishop Barres, who was ordained a Priest for the Diocese of Wilmington in 1989, was named Fourth Bishop of the Diocese of Allentown in 2009 by Pope Benedict XVI. He was back in the Diocese of Wilmington in August 2016 to give a keynote address to teachers and administrators of the Catholic schools of Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore.
